I think Oli Herbert from All That Remains was absolutely wonderful.
From what music I have heard, Eddie Van Halen is ingenious.

Any other views or suggestions?

I think Hendrix was king right up there with. Van Halen as well. These a lot to list. Like joe satriani Eric Clapton.

ohh those two are brilliant! I think one of my earliest memories of Clapton was the song "Bad Love" The opening solo caught my attention and i had to know who he was. I found a lot of his earlier works enjoyable and especially sought to learn the unplugged version of "Layla: :musiic:

Does Slash get a vote here? I think hes one of the greats. There is a lot from the hair era.
